To: Adur and Alba From: San Clemente with Love.

This is Adur and Alba. Alba now sells Women’s Italian Boots back in Spain and Adur remains to be a legend. These are true statements.

You might not know who Adur Letamendia is. But I do, and therefore I feel lucky. Originally from the Basque country in one of the most lovely countries in the world Adur came to America to write a research paper on american surfing. He lived with us for four months and became our brother. Brotherhood is created through action and memory. Well we definitely had both of those throughout his stay. Adur taught us of Basque cooking, the spanish world cup team and tried to iron out our crooked spoken spanish. We taught adur about atomic elbows and Billy’s Sandwiches. Nadie Hace eso!

Dane and Adur are twins. Tom Petty look-a-likes

Upon Adur’s leaving our friends came together and threw Adur a fair well bash. They called it Adur-a-Palooza. Marcos (adur’s alter ego) came out after numerous games of flip cup with beer and one mystery round of tequila. Legendary! We missed the festivities due to being in ZAF which breaks my heart but the photos of the madness brought me to the action.

ATOMIC ELBOWS (N)- The art of blasting down the door of the roomate who did not go out with the crew and piling in as many people to the room and jumping on sorry roomate piledriving elbows into their body. If roomate has girlfriend, they too will be punished with atomic elbows…guilty by association.

Adur loved Atomic elbows, he became the mascot of atomic elbow giving. This is a self explanatory voicemail that he left for our roomate Ian after a big night that he had before leaving. The passion. The emotion. The ADUR!

Nolan Hall. DJ Rashguard.

Nolan Hall is the man behind the lense. Or lenses. Hired by vans for his expertise in capturing natural lifestyles he is the realest of deals. We have been travelling with him since the beginning of the year and its been a hoot and a holler. Check out his blog its tits! click here.

Traveling with Nolan is like traveling with a clydesdale. 100% pure stallionism.

Nolan Hall is also known as DJ Rashguard as it is him that keeps the feet of costa mesa in a constant groove. You can find him laying down mesmerizing hits at la cave on the reg. Nobody is doin that!

Nolan Hall recently was spotted at J Bay enjoying his fresh 6′4 Flyer. Has he changed speed lines for airs? Cannot verify that yet, however his wax job on his flyer is better than his single fin. That is not a Haiku.

Part II. The Kooks

Part II the kooks golfing. from Tanner Gudauskas on Vimeo.

After a full day of the links the kooks brought the heat on a smoker of a par three. There were two water drops. (nolan and myself) but we played through. Life on the ct is better than that of the WQS. We got to play an 800 dollar course for ten dollars. Almost enough to make me wanna become a golfer, but then if I tried doing that I wouldnt be able to play the course anymore. Kinda funny how that works out!

don carlos!

I’m pretty sure i just had a religious experience.  At least I know that Adur did.  Having been a Don Carlos fan since his childhood in the Basque, can you imagine the electricity that was runnin’ through him when we had the opportunity to see Don Carlos live in a private showing tonight in San Clemente??  Are you kidding me?  The dance vibe was unreal, and tonight will not be forgotten anytime soon!  Reggae legend livin’ on!!! Hangin’ out with Don Carlos, all time!

Cape St. Francis Links.

the rippers golfing from Tanner Gudauskas on Vimeo.

It was a monday. or maybe a sunday. but the point is that we met on the links that overlooked the beautiful town of St. Francis. There were four of us. Two Teams looking to play as many holes as the sun light would allow. which was 12. On one side of the draw was the rippers. consisting of Nate Yeomans and Nolan Hall. Then there was Patrick and I, The kooks. Through slices and fades, power draws and hooks we snaked to the green in hopes of the beers being bought by the opposing team. The shit talking was as common as losing your ball in the rough on this Jack Nicklaus signature course. We acrewed so much good footage that we decided to break up the podcast in two features. This first video is more showing the flaws in THE RIPPERS game. I edited it, and I was on the KOOKS so maybe the opinion of this video is biased. whatever! haa!!!

harvest moon.

When I woke up today, and saw all those red tomatoes ripe on the vine, I did what any good man would do in that situation: I sat down, and started pickin’.   Today was my first true harvest of my tomato plants that I planted just a few months ago.  Cherry Tomatoes, Early Girl Tomatoes, even Green Tomatoes.  I was really feelin’ the mojo out there, sitting just me, my lawn gnomes, and my plants.  My Sunflowers even came into bloom.  Needless to say, I was pretty stoked.  This first crop is dedicated to Noel Robinson, these plants were planted just a few days before he rode his final wave.  So thanks for the sunshine brother!
